Imagine your dismay if you brought home your new and quite expensive iPhone, only to have it break after one accidental drop. This would be very disappointing, not to mention costly. Test done on the iPhone show that is is an extremely durable device and just to prove how durable it is, following are some of the results found when testing the iPhone to see just how tough it really is. When tested to see how it would hold up to everyday wear and tear in terms of scratching, the iPhone was crammed into a zip-locked bag that was full of keys. It was then shaken vigorously to determine if it would result in scratches along the iPhone screen. The result was that the screen held up very well and had no visible scratches.
The next thing that was done during testing was to determine how the iPhone could hold up to being dropped. Three separate tests were performed. During the first test the iPhone was dropped from waist level onto a carpet, the second from chest height over a linoleum floor, and third, it was dropped onto a concrete paved sidewalk from about 5 feet. It bounced several times and then landed with the screen facing down. None of these tests showed any functional damage to the iPhone, other than a few small scrapes on the casing. The screen remained intact with no visible scratches. The conclusion to all of our tests proved to us that the iPhone is a quite rugged phone and will more than likely hold up nicely.
